Covington – Death came to Elijah D. Hutts, 64, at his home north of Covington at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday after an extended illness. He was born in Millcreek Township near Yeddo on Dec 14, 1878, the son of Lewis and Elizabeth Sowers Hutts. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Simmons of Kingman and Mrs. Clara Gilley of Yeddo; a brother, Clifford of Yeddo and 11 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Centennial Church south of Veedersburg with Rev. Mr. Sharrell officiating. Burial will be in Centennial Cemetery with Crumley & Son Funeral Home of Covington in charge. Note: He was a minister and passed 29 Sept 1943
